Confluence Environmental is a multi-disciplinary NSW consultancy team specialising in contaminated land and hazardous materials. We work with developers, builders and principal contractors, councils and state agencies, and asset owners on complex sites and projects. Based in Newcastle and the Central Coast, we work across NSW.
Every engagement is built around your next project decision, from due diligence and investigation through earthworks, waste and closeout. We connect technical findings with the practical requirements of the job: what needs attention, what action is required, and how to move forward.
Our contaminated land and hazardous materials work is led by experienced practitioners, including a Certified Environmental Practitioner (CEnvP) and a Licensed Asbestos Assessor. Assessments and reports are prepared in line with relevant NSW EPA, ASC NEPM and SafeWork NSW requirements.

Multi-Site Asbestos Surveys and Registers – NSW Regional Asset Portfolio
Confluence Environmental completed 38 asbestos surveys and registers across a geographically dispersed NSW asset portfolio, from Lake Macquarie to Kempsey and west to Muswellbrook. Hazardous Materials Survey, Register and Preliminary Site Investigation – Former Abattoir Site (Central Coast NSW)
Confluence Environmental was engaged to undertake a hazardous materials survey and register alongside a comprehensive Preliminary Site Investigation for a 2-hectare former abattoir site constructed in the 1960s. Lake Macquarie Lead Dust Assessment, Air Monitoring and Remediation Planning
Confluence Environmental was engaged by a NSW-wide industry insurer to assess potential lead dust contamination following concerns regarding elevated lead in settled dust within ceiling spaces.
