Targeted Contamination Assessment – Hunter Valley NSW
Confluence Environmental was engaged by a Tier 1 contractor to undertake a targeted contamination assessment to support a substation upgrade and electrical infrastructure works. The investigation addressed data gaps from a previous Preliminary Site Investigation and assessed contamination risks associated with proposed bulk earthworks, enabling the project to proceed without further contamination constraints.

Friable Asbestos-Contaminated Soil – Central Coast NSW
Confluence Environmental was engaged following civil excavation works to assess and manage friable asbestos-contaminated soil identified during retaining wall reconstruction. Services included asbestos delineation, remediation planning, waste classification, air monitoring and clearance, with long-term site management implemented through capping and updated asbestos documentation.

Confluence Environmental undertook a Preliminary Site Investigation for a Somersby property proposed for redevelopment as a function centre, in response to matters raised through the NSW Land and Environment Court. The assessment evaluated historical horticultural land use and potential contamination risks to support planning decisions and regulatory confidence.

Confluence Environmental was engaged by a NSW-wide industry insurer to assess potential lead dust contamination following concerns regarding elevated lead in settled dust within ceiling spaces. The project involved lead dust assessment and air monitoring across 15 buildings over two Lake Macquarie sites, supported by the development of a staged remediation management plan to guide risk control and remediation works.

NSW Multi-Site Asbestos Surveys and Registers
Confluence Environmental completed 38 asbestos surveys and registers across a geographically dispersed NSW asset portfolio, from Lake Macquarie to Kempsey and west to Muswellbrook. The engagement was undertaken to support insurance renewal requirements, with assessments delivered across sensitive, publicly accessible facilities including retail, industrial and office environments.

Confluence Environmental was engaged to undertake a hazardous materials survey and register alongside a comprehensive Preliminary Site Investigation for a 2-hectare former abattoir site constructed in the 1960s. The assessment addressed complex legacy building materials and historical land use to support decommissioning planning, flood mitigation works and development application lodgement with Central Coast Council.
