When a PSI is Required in Forster & Port Macquarie

Local Experience – Forster & Port Macquarie Case Study

We recently undertook a Preliminary Site Investigation (PSI) and Detailed Site Investigation (DSI) for a proposed childcare centre in Port Macquarie. The PSI identified a history of mixed residential and small-scale agricultural use, raising the potential for pesticide residues and asbestos-containing materials in surface soils. Targeted sampling during the DSI confirmed trace levels of organochlorine pesticides and bonded asbestos fragments within fill material. All results were below the thresholds for residential land use with sensitive occupants.
