Air Monitoring
Air monitoring involves measuring airborne contaminants to assess exposure risks and verify the effectiveness of controls during construction, remediation or other dust- or contaminant-generating activities.
Acid Sulfate Soil Management Plan (ASSMP)
An Acid Sulfate Soil Management Plan (ASSMP) is a site-specific document that sets out measures to manage acid sulfate soils during excavation, dewatering or construction, to prevent acid generation and protect soil, water and infrastructure.
Acid Sulfate Soils (ASS)
Acid sulfate soils (ASS) are soils or sediments containing reduced inorganic sulphur compounds, such as iron sulphides, that can oxidise and produce sulphuric acid when disturbed or exposed to air, resulting in environmental and structural impacts.
